CONVERTING

In the converting department, PE film or semi-finished products from the extrusion program are processed into PE bags of various sizes and types for industrial and retail use. PE bags are used in industry for various purposes, such as packaging products (shrink cover bags), waste collection, and more. In addition to industrial bags, Plasta d.o.o. produces bags for the food industry, agriculture, and municipal use (e.g., garbage bags with drawstrings). Retail bags are primarily intended for consumer use.

In addition to bag production, we also produce protective and cover sheets in various dimensions. Sheets can be produced individually or perforated on rolls. Standard and custom-made products can be printed on demand (up to 8 colors) using flexo printing technology.

With more than 10 converting lines and a capacity of over 1 billion bags and sheets, we can produce high-quality products according to the following criteria:

Materials

LD-PE, LLD-PE, MD-PE, HD-PE, rLD-PE, rHD-PE, rMD-PE (recycled material, PCR or PIR)

Material quality

Virgin material (standardized, 1A).
PIR (post-industrial recycled material, high-quality sorted recycled material from our own production waste).
PCR (post-consumer recycled material, high-quality sorted recycled material from consumer waste).

Bag and sheet widths (minimum and maximum circumference)

approx. 450 mm – 8.000 mm

Maximum lay-flat width of converted product

up to 2.220 mm

Maximum lay-flat width of roll-perforated product

up to 1.600 mm

Bag and sheet thickness

approx. 7 µm – 250 µm (depending on raw material/polyethylene)

Cores (on which bags, films, or sheets are wound)

PVC or paper, diameters 38, 50, 76, or 152 mm.

Bag and sheet coloration

Partial or full color coverage (non-transparent) as per customer request; coex films allow multiple color combinations.

Bag and sheet types/shapes

Flat bags with bottom seal, flat bags with bottom seal perforated on roll, gusseted bags with bottom seal, gusseted bags perforated on roll, sheets, half-tube sheets, roll-perforated formats, half-tube roll-perforated sheets, side-sealed bags perforated on roll (garbage bags), side-sealed bags with drawstrings perforated on roll (garbage bags).

Printing

Inline flexo printing up to 8 colors (Pantone© color scale), continuous or targeted printing on converted products.

Maximum print width: 2.050 mm
Repeat length: up to 1.000 mm

Various inline simple (single-color) printing of bags and formats (e.g., recycling mark, serial number, company logo, and other symbols required by the customer)

Bag and product perforation

Microperforation (straight – square, diagonal – diamond, segment).
Macroperforation (holes from 6 mm to 80 mm).
Special perforation (laser-treated).

Surface properties

Slip, non-slip, or anti-slip – with or without pre-print treatment as per customer request.

Functional additives

Anti-static, UV stabilizer, UV absorber, anti-block, anti-slip, slip, anti-fog, anti-drop, anti-odor, AOX.

Mikroperforacija (ravna – kvadrat, poševna – karo, segmentna)

Drsna, ne drsna ali proti drsna – po potrebi naročnika z ali brez pred tiskarske obdelave

Funkcionalni aditivi:
Anti-static, UV-stabilizator, UV-absorber, anti-block, anti-slip, slip, anti-fog, anti-drop, anti-odor, AOX

Označevanje / signiranje:
Različno inline enostavno (enobarvno) označevanje vrečk in formatov (kot na primer reciklažni znak, serijska številka, logo podjetja in ostali simboli, ki jih zahteva naročnik)
